Line 6 will soon be releasing a plug-in interface for guitar players to use on iPhone and iPad. It features 64 models of classic amps and effects. Line 6 is known for their amp and effect modeling so I hope this new device is comparable. The “Mobile In” has 1/8″ guitar and 1/8″ stereo inputs, Up to 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio support, and includes a 6′ guitar cable with a 1/4″ jack and 1/8″ jack to use with the device. I think one of the best features of the device is that it plugs into the dock connector of your iPhone or iPad. There is no need for batteries since it’s juiced up by your iPhone or iPad. The hardware is controlled with Line 6’s free Mobile POD app Which boasts 32 guitar amplifiers, 18 stompboxes and rack effects, and 16 guitar cabinets. With this you will have access to over 10,000 presets to download to your device, a built-in Tuner, and you will have access to jam with any song in your iTunes library.
