How to Jailbreak your iDevice with RedSn0w

This Jailbreak will work with any iDevice Except, iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

If your jailborke already and on 5.0.1 look for Corona Untether 5.0.1 in Cydia and install. This will untether the jailbreak for you.

If your on any previous firmware follow the directions below. Here is a link to get previous or current versions of iOS firmwares if you need them but you can just update in iTunes.

-If you need to unlock your phone Do Not Use This Method or you will lose your unlock!!

So let’s get right into this.

1. Sync your device to iTunes and back everything up.

Next it will make the process faster if you un-sync all of your music, pics, videos, and un-needed apps.

2. restore to 5.0.1 in iTunes. You may need to update to this version first then “Restore”

When prompted make sure to set it up as a “New Device”

3. Connect you device to you computer, once it’s connected Power it off.

4. Download Redsnow and run it. Click the “Jailbreak” button.  Redsnow- Mac      Redsnow- Windows

5. Put your device in to DFU mode. If you don’t know how Redsnow will help you along with this.

6. Once you’re at this point just let Redsnow do it’s thing and it will prompt you when its done.

The process may take a while to complete on you device so just be patient.
