Sony is touted to release this new device by the second quarter this year. The new flagship Xperia S is a great looking device and with some impressive hardware to match.
With a squared off design you will wrap your hand around a 4.3″ HD display at 1280X720 resolution (reportedly has a great viewing angle for two). 1.5Ghz dual-core processor by Qualcomm, with the Bravia engine, 32Gb internal storage, HDMI port, 1GB f RAM, 12MP camera that boasts 1.5 sec ability to take pictures from stand by mode and will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. Sony claims an upgrade to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich by the second quarter release.
The display has a see-through band at the lower portion of the screen for three touch sensitive buttons. The etched buttons are for the Home, back and menu functions. The back of the device has a convex design and apparently makes it easier to grab from a flat surface. The two cameras include a 1.3MP front and the 12MP rear camera is capable of recording 1080p. Sony also included NFC (Near Field Communication) and is Playstation certified
