Google employees have leaked that by the end of the year Google will be releasing the Google glasses. These new spectacles would allow the user to see up to date information just inches from their eye, without having to look at their mobile device. The glasses will be Android based and cost between $250 and $600. The data network will run on either 3G or 4G but has not been established as of yet. This new device will also have a unique navigation system, as opposed to touching and scrolling as done on a phone or other mobile device, the user will use head tilting to scroll and click since the screen is not in an opportune place to touch and scroll with a finger. How is a user suppose to get information within inches from their eye and still be able to maneuver around the everyday world? well Google has thought of that as well, they will have a low resolution camera that will monitor the real world and overlay information about locations and people around them so that the user can look up the information they’d like to see and still be aware of their
surroundings. The Search Engine Giant is currently building these glasses in their Google X offices and discussing security concerns that may come up, such as how would an outsider know if a user is recording them with the camera. As all the specifics are not yet worked out we will have to wait until the end of the year when the Google glasses are released to know what they come up with. One thing is known the Google glasses will be able to send information to the cloud to do things like share the user’s location with their friends. I for one am very interested to see what the final product will look like, although we will all be waiting until the end of the year to find out.

Very cool, thanks for sharing, I’ll be returning again soon!
Google never ceases to amaze me. It’s only a matter of time before handsets are completely obsolete and everyone’s browsing the web and tweeting from their Google glasses… I can’t even imagine what’s going to be available in ten or twenty years!
Great read 🙂 keep up the good work!
Hey Thanks Nick! we appreciate you visiting us here and are glad you liked the post. We hope you return soon.
