Get Google maps back on iOS 6 with street view

With all the scrutiny Apple is getting on their new Maps app its hard not search out other alternative apps. While Apple has made some improvements to their native app it may not ne enough for some of you. If you’re a fan of Google maps and want it back like prior to iOS 6 here’s how to get it.

Open Safari and type maps.google.com in the address bar.

Then Tap the arrow icon at the bottom middle of the screen and add to home screen

The icon will be placed on your home screen.

And now the ability to use Street view has also been updated. To use street view tap the little person icon in the lower right corner.

There are other options to Apple’s Maps app some are free some are paid apps, but if you just want a quick way to get Google maps back this will be your best bet.
