This company has developed eyewear products for both Commercial and military uses and now Vuzix has made a built in HD display engine and waveguide optics to make your eyes bulge with excitement. SMART GLASSES project an image as if you were viewing an 85″ display while sitting only few feet away. This new compact display engine is capable of high contrast and brightness levels strong enough for out-door use. The image is relayed into a 1.4mm thin polymer waveguide lens to make this magic happen. This Tech is small enough to fit into the temples and lenses of a conventional pair of eyewear.
This product is said to be released for the consumer market by fall 2012. Monocular and binocular SMART glasses will be available upon launch.
